Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 11, 2026
These Terms describe your use of PeekLUT, the photo and video editing app provided by Lauper Labs, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), and its related website content. Please review them before using the app or purchasing paid features. They apply to the extent validly agreed under applicable law; posting this page alone does not establish your acceptance of new terms or change an earlier purchase.
1. App Store License and Your Rights
For PeekLUT obtained through Apple's App Store, the software license is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it or change Apple's usage rules. If these Terms conflict with that license on a software licensing matter, the license controls, subject always to mandatory law.
Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived, including applicable rights to conforming digital content, required updates, repairs, replacements, refunds, or other remedies. If you use PeekLUT on behalf of a business, you must have authority to act for that business. Minors must have a parent or guardian's permission where required by law.
2. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Trials
Available features, prices, billing periods, trial eligibility, and promotional conditions are shown in the app and Apple's purchase confirmation before you buy. Apple processes App Store payments using your Apple Account. An auto-renewing subscription renews for the billing period you select unless you cancel through Apple before renewal. If a trial or introductory offer is available, it converts to the disclosed paid subscription unless canceled in accordance with the offer and Apple's rules.
Any subscription price change is subject to Apple's notice and consent requirements and applicable law. A change to this page does not itself authorize a charge or override the terms displayed when you purchased.
3. Managing Subscriptions and Refunds
Manage, change, or cancel your PeekLUT subscription through Apple's subscription management. For current instructions and regional differences, refer to Apple's cancellation guidance. Apple advises canceling a trial at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want it to renew.
Deleting PeekLUT or contacting our support does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewal; the date your access ends is shown by Apple and can differ for trials, refunds, and some regions.
For an App Store refund, use Apple's refund request service and refer to Apple's refund guidance. Eligibility depends on the purchase, region, and applicable law. These procedures do not limit statutory remedies or any responsibility we have to you under consumer law; you may also contact us about a defective or unavailable paid feature.
4. One-Time Purchases and Feature Limits
If offered, a lifetime or other one-time purchase has no recurring subscription charge and grants ongoing access to the features included in the offer at the time of purchase. It does not promise that every future device or operating system will be compatible, or that separately identified future products are included, unless the offer says so. We will honor the scope represented when you purchased; these Terms do not retroactively shorten an existing lifetime entitlement.
Free features and export allowances may vary by the offer shown in the app. Any applicable allowance or paid requirement must be disclosed before purchase. Where a paid offer includes unlimited exports, that means no numerical export allowance for the covered features; device storage, supported formats, processing capacity, and the acceptable-use rules below still apply.
5. Your Media, LUTs, and Other Content
You retain your existing rights in photos, videos, audio, original grades, presets, and LUTs you bring to or create with PeekLUT. Using the app does not transfer ownership of your content to us. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to edit, import, export, and share that content, including any third-party LUTs, music, images, or identifiable people in it.
You may use your own edited media and original grades in personal or commercial projects, subject to the rights in the source material and any applicable third-party licenses. Exporting, modifying, or combining someone else's LUT does not remove its license restrictions or give you ownership of it.
PeekLUT's software and bundled assets remain ours or their licensors'. Access to a bundled LUT, preset, texture, or other asset does not transfer ownership or grant a right to redistribute or sell the asset as a standalone product unless its license expressly allows this. This restriction does not prevent export of your own original grades or override broader rights expressly granted with an asset or an earlier purchase. Third-party and open-source license notices continue to apply to their respective materials.
6. Third-Party Names and Trademarks
All third-party company names, camera and lens brands and model names, film stock names, product names, logos, trademarks, and service marks referenced in PeekLUT, its presets, documentation, or websites belong to their respective owners. This includes names associated with recording formats, codecs, log profiles, color spaces, and editing software, whether or not a particular owner or mark is individually listed.
References identify compatibility, source formats, or an intended creative inspiration. They do not imply that PeekLUT or Lauper Labs, LLC is affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed, approved, or certified by the relevant company, unless we expressly identify such a relationship. No rights in those names or marks are granted by these Terms. Film and lens simulations are creative approximations, not a promise of identical output to any physical camera, lens, film stock, or third-party product.
7. Acceptable Use
Do not use PeekLUT to infringe another person's rights, violate applicable law, distribute malware, interfere with our services, or fraudulently bypass purchase or access controls. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or modify the app itself except where its license, an applicable open-source license, or the law permits. These restrictions concern the app and unlawful conduct; they do not prohibit ordinary editing, commercial creative work, or permitted LUT exports.
8. Backups, Exports, and Compatibility
Keep independent backups of original media, important projects, presets, and exported files. PeekLUT is an editing tool, not a backup or archival service. Before deleting source files or delivering work, check that exports are complete, readable, and suitable for their intended use.
Results depend on source media, metadata, color management, display calibration, export settings, supported formats, device resources, and the software used to view an export. A preview may differ from playback in another app or on another display. LUT files represent supported color transformations; they cannot reproduce every spatial, temporal, masking, grain, or other effect. We do not promise identical rendering across all devices, third-party applications, or physical film processes.
Some functions, including purchases, restoration, downloads, and service configuration, require an internet connection. Your carrier's data charges may apply. Keep sufficient device storage and use supported software. These practical responsibilities do not excuse a defect in PeekLUT or reduce remedies available under mandatory consumer law.
9. Warranties and Responsibility for Loss
The warranty provisions and liability limits in your applicable App Store license apply, subject to the protections in this section. We do not make an additional promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every specialized workflow. This does not remove our obligations concerning the app's description, quality, fitness for a purpose protected by law, or reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Consumer rights and remedies take precedence over any inconsistent disclaimer or financial limit in these Terms or the applicable license, including where the law makes us responsible for corrupted media, lost edits, or failed exports.
If you use PeekLUT for business purposes, losses relating to profits, revenue, business interruption, or missed delivery deadlines are subject to the exclusions and limits in the applicable license only insofar as those provisions are lawful and enforceable. Please test your workflow and maintain backups before relying on the app for an important delivery.
10. Updates, Service Changes, and Suspension
We may update PeekLUT to fix defects, improve security, maintain compatibility, comply with law, or develop features. Where a change or planned discontinuation materially affects paid access, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the app or another appropriate channel and explain available options and any remedies required by law. Urgent security or legal issues may require a shorter notice period. This section does not permit us to disregard an existing purchase commitment.
We may restrict access for a material breach of these Terms, fraud, unlawful activity, or a serious security threat. Restrictions will be proportionate to the issue. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to remedy a breach before suspension, unless immediate action is necessary or notice is prohibited by law. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken. Suspension does not by itself cancel billing through Apple; use Apple's subscription management, and contact us about any refund or other remedy to which you are entitled.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains local media processing, purchase information, diagnostics, analytics, advertising attribution, and your choices. Accepting these Terms is not consent to optional tracking or other processing that requires separate consent.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our services. We will identify the revision date and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate channel. Where consent is legally required, revised terms will apply only after that consent is obtained. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights attached to a completed purchase or an existing dispute. If you do not accept a change, contact us about your options and use Apple's subscription management to stop future renewals if you wish.
13. Questions and Disputes
Contact Lauper Labs, LLC at hellopeeklut@icloud.com with questions, support requests, or complaints. We encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve a concern, but doing so is not a condition of exercising a legal right or bringing a claim.
These supplementary Terms do not add a mandatory arbitration requirement, a class-action waiver, or an exclusive court venue. Any applicable law or dispute provisions in your App Store license remain subject to mandatory protections, including any right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
